The first thing we did was site in the rifles |

Checking the target |

It looks good - let's get started hunting! |

Tracking Al's warthog - they are persistent little guys! |

Nice Kudu - everyone admiring it and talking about the shot. |

Here come the trackers - they drive up to where the animal goes down. |

Henk did such a great job in capturing the hunt on video and pictures! |

You can see how the animals are loaded up in the back of the truck. Sometimes a rope is needed to pull them up because of their size. |

The tracking dogs -- I will remember Jesse in particular! |

One day David sat in a blind for his wildebeest |

It is dry brush all over spotted with these green trees called Shephard Trees. Cobras like to hide in them too |

We were amazed at the size of the termite hills. Some were taller than a man. |

The vehicles that we used. |

Getting ready to start our day. |

We were amazed at the ostriches running ahead of us on the road. |

The land is pretty rough with lots of thorn bushes this time of year. |

Cape Buffalo taking a good look at us. Saving this for another trip! |

We hunted around waterholes in the morning and in the evening. |

We saw all kinds of animals. |

On all day hunts in the field, we take a noon siesta time. Here you see how Jenny got the nickname "Handkerchief" |

David taking a little snooze after lunch |

Afternoon lunch under an acacia tree by a waterhole....absolutely delightful! It was supposed to get to 97 degrees but with a slight breeze and no humidity it felt much less warm. |

Al took advantage of a little down time too. |

Early morning stalking to the waterhole |
 |
 |

|

We hunting in various ways -- stalking, in blinds & also a South Africa 'deer stand' by a water hole |

As we were driving along we came upon a waterhole and saw these rhinos. |

A herd of Wildebeests crossing the road ahead |

At the elephants |

Jenny got us matching tshirts that said "The Adventure Begins" |

|

Jenny getting a slobbery kiss |

Very wirey tail |

A lot of wrinkles - no sweat glands |
