WELCOME!

In Septermber 2016, David, Jenny, Al and I embarked on a trip that David has been dreaming about for years - a South Africa Hunt!

Henk Jacobs pointed us to Debbie Trinidad of Custom Travel in Milwaukee and she worked out all the details of the flight and transportation arrangements as well as provide a packet of pre-planning information such as shots, clothing, and country information. So helpful!

Park Nicolette Travel Clinic did a good job in designating our immunizations, but we did not find many bugs in the Limpopo region at all.

We left Minnespolis Saturday around 1 pm and flew to Atlanta and then a connecting flight to Johannesberg. Because David is left handed, he brought his own gun and amno for Al. This was a little tricky logistically and caused delays both ways. Handling all the paperwork 2 months ahead of time would have helped this. It is a 16 hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg and 4 hour drive to the hunting lodge.

We should have packed less and kept the colors to hunting colors only and come prepared to wear layers. It is chilly in the mornings but by afternoon it can get quite warm. A fleece would have been a good item to have packed. Good comfortable light hunting shoes or dark tennis shoes are a must!

Be sure to bring an electrical plug ins that are 2 prong and a converter is needed. Also check with your cell phone provider about international roaming fees.

We hope you enjoy this site!

David and Jenny are checking connection flights in Atlanta. NOTE: We took far more than just that carry on luggage!

When you have a pilot with you, not to worry about getting lost in new airports!
